Camping cars have provided lovers of the outdoors to modernize their experience with nature by adding a few contemporary conveniences while they are communing with the mountains or the woods.
Though many people really enjoy the opportunity to break away from the daily conundrum of their lives and enjoy something a bit less stressful and carefree, they want the amenities that they would enjoy at home, like heat, refrigerators or toilets.
The camping car can range in style from a pickup truck with a hitched compartment for sleeping, to a high-stacked van with a sleeping deck to a recreational vehicle (RV) that has all the amenities of a mobile home. The camping car occasion will dictate which style is better suited for you and your guests or family. It will also be decided by your budget, in which case you should select a “vente camping car” (translation: a car that is on sale).
Some manufacturers of these vehicles are set up to outfit the camping car according to customer specifications. An array of options for interior design give the customer an opportunity to buy a car that is really tailor made for the kind of experiences desired in the car. Some can even be built with water storage tanks, microwaves and televisions. The amount of luxury is all up to the customer. Therefore, depending on whether the trip away from the hustle and bustle of society will include mountains, rivers, wilderness or some other natural terrain, a customer can fully design a location camping car.
Sleeping in a camping car does not mean that you can avoid your car camping checklist. Since some campers choose to drive their cars to the site where they will camp and then pitch a tent with sleeping bags close by, there is often the need to still take all the things that would be required for a camping trip where you decide to “rough it.” You cannot forget insect repellent, materials to make fire, extra blankets, flashlights or a first-aid kit, for example.
The camping car experience can be as modernized or as rugged as you wish it to be. For many campers, there is peace in knowing that even when you pitch a tent and enjoy the sound of crickets chirping or frogs croaking, the comfort of a heated car with a bathroom, an alternative sleeping space and many other amenities is only a few steps away.
